Board solicits volunteers for YMCA trunk‑or‑treat and haunted trail stops

Parks staff asked commissions to provide volunteer stops for Huber's Happy Haunted Trail (Friday, Oct. 23) and to staff the YMCA trunk-or-treat on Sunday, Oct. 25 (6–8 p.m.). Staff said last year’s stops that included actors were more engaging and suggested boards/commissions could handle a stop with a small team. "Molly is looking for groups to be stops on Huber's Happy Haunted Trail," staff said, asking boards to coordinate and sign up.

Commissioners discussed schedules and noted the city will avoid scheduling paving that would interfere with event routes. Staff said a holiday postcard with fall and winter programming details will be mailed before Oct. 10 and asked boards to watch for volunteer emails and sign-up requests.
