Katie Mooney Buzzby introduced herself to the Board and said she has lived in Winchester since October 2019 and serves as executive director of the Peter Buller Foundation, the downtown arts residency nonprofit that owns properties downtown. She summarized her background in architecture and preservation work with private firms and government and described her interest in maintaining historic buildings in the district.
"I've been a resident of the city of Winchester since October 2019," Mooney Buzzby said, and added that she had previously worked for an architecture firm and in design and preservation projects. A board member welcomed her; another participant offered a brief critical aside, but the Chair introduced plans to continue board business and welcomed her participation.
Why it matters: The Peter Buller Foundation is a downtown nonprofit that owns and maintains historic buildings; the executive director's presence on the local preservation community and interactions with the Board are relevant for future coordination on downtown projects and preservation concerns.
