The City of Milton CRA unanimously approved minutes from the Aug. 20 meeting and a Sept. 1 special meeting and accepted the monthly financial report for all three Community Redevelopment Areas.
S3 recorded a motion to approve the Aug. 20 minutes with a motion credited to Councilwoman Farrow and a second from Councilman Hawthorne; S3 later recorded the motion for the Sept. 1 minutes made by Councilman Powers with a second from Councilman Powell. The CRA financials were moved by Councilman Hawthorne and seconded by Councilman Leek and were "unanimously approved by all members," the mayor announced.
Staff presented the monthly financials for all three CRAs as a single item in the packet. The packet included a numeric readback that appears in the record; council did not debate the substance of the financials beyond confirming that CRA funds were limited and should be prioritized for CRA programming.
Council later discussed whether to dedicate CRA funds to a proposed city ranger position and asked staff to return with more detailed financial breakdowns before any transfer of CRA funds is approved.
