Chair Dan Redondo introduced Asia Ewing, who attended the meeting in person and said she is interested in joining both the Development Review Board and the Planning Commission. Redondo said the boards currently have six full members and two alternates, that rules allow up to seven full members, and that adding a member would help maintain quorums.
The Board discussed repeated absences by member David Burtch, who Redondo said had not attended several consecutive meetings and had not communicated; the Chair described moving a long‑absent full member to an alternate and filling the vacancy as actions the Board could recommend to the Selectboard. Because membership appointments are controlled by the Selectboard and the matter was not warned for action at the Sept. 16 meeting, the Board deferred a recommendation; it said it would take up a recommendation at its next meeting if Ms. Ewing remains interested.
