Council heard multiple budget appropriations grouped in the agenda. Budget staff presented a $413,630 JAG reimbursement appropriation for public-safety purposes; staff said about $395,253 would fund the Tulsa Police Department's Riverside division and roughly $18,000 would pass through to Tulsa County under an MOU, with final MOU details pending. "This is a, JAG grant that the police department received... 395,000 of it will go to, TPD, 1st Riverside, division," a budget presenter said.
Separately, staff presented a $293,750 reappropriation of FY26 Convention & Visitors revenues for Visit Tulsa promotional campaigns and explained timing issues across June–July invoices. The council also approved smaller health- and community-focused grants: a $125,000 Cherokee Nation award to fund culturally relevant lung-cancer screening and a $25,000 Intelligent Community Initiative grant to fund a part-time community outreach coordinator, plus a $20,000 amendment for financial-counseling services in the Department of Resilience and Equity.
