Copperton finalizes Town Days schedule including car show, movie and centennial merchandise

Council Member Tessa Stitzer provided a final update on Copperton Town Days logistics and programming. The schedule includes a Friday dusk movie (Back to the Future); Saturday’s car show beginning at 10 AM followed by the main event from 11 AM–4 PM with food trucks, bounce houses, a rock wall, vendors, and a photo booth; an evening concert is planned from 6–8:30 PM. The Copperton booth will sell centennial merchandise and all council members will staff the booth.

Stitzer noted incoming invoices related to the event and Mayor Clayton confirmed that, because the expenditures were within previously approved budget authority, staff may authorize payment without separate council action. The council asked staff to ensure event logistics (e.g., Engine 36 attendance by UFA and placement of safety trailers) remain coordinated with public‑safety partners.
