The Crown Point Board of Public Works and Safety on Sept. 4 approved a series of engineering disbursements tied to State Revolving Fund loans and received status reports on several city utility projects.
Al Stong of Commonwealth told the board the office updated the Water Utility Master Plan for Phase 4 and presented reimbursement requests. The board approved CEI Invoice Disbursement #53 (SRF Loan DW18044502) for $2,010 and CEI Invoice Disbursement #8 (SRF Loan DW25274505) for $7,498 after Member Bob Clemons moved for approval and colleagues voted unanimously. Stong also said construction of a new 24-inch water supply line is anticipated to begin in December 2026.
The board heard a progress update on the Downtown Interceptor; Stong provided a construction schedule and said State Road 55 is expected to reopen and barrier walls removed by Sept. 30, 2026. Localized road closures remain in place on Harrington Avenue and Oak Street and the Erie Lackawanna Trail will be closed from late August until spring to accommodate work.
Member Bob Clemons handled the motions to approve the disbursements; all passed by unanimous voice vote. The meeting record does not include roll-call tallies for the voice votes.
