Pearl City honors Pro City Little League world champions at neighborhood board meeting

The board held a community recognition for the Pro City Little League Senior League World Series champions. Councilmember Valerie Okimoto read a certificate noting the team’s championship on 08/08/2026, and board member Heidi Weber presented a Pearl City Neighborhood Board certificate praising the team’s sportsmanship and performance. Tai Takahashi, team manager, accepted the recognition and thanked the community.

Elected officials in attendance and online — including Representative Greg Takayama and Senator Elefante — congratulated the team and said they will host additional recognitions at City Hall and the State Capitol on Sept. 9. The board recessed briefly for a group photo; members emphasized ongoing infrastructure requests tied to youth athletics (lighting, batting cages and bus-shelter considerations) and encouraged residents to follow up with Councilmember Okimoto's office for CIP prioritization.
